Cardiff is also becoming something of a creative hub; the creative industries are thriving here, with businesses in the digital media arena performing particularly well. The BBC has 170,000 of square footage in drama studios in the city; the largest in the UK, and Pinewood Studios have also had a facility here since 2015.

The tourism industry also offers great opportunities in Cardiff. The number of visitors continues to rise, while the city was named as one of the best regions for hotel investment in the UK in 2018. The accolade was given by the Colliers International UK Hotels Market Index, and saw the city rise five spots from its ranking the year before.
