There are a number of development projects underway and planned for the near future across Hereford and the wider area. These include the regeneration of the local football stadium and Berrington Street, the construction of Hereford Bypass, and several refurbishment projects in the city centre.
These developments will not only fuel local business, but also help to draw in more visitors. Tourism has become a very important money-generator for the Herefordshire region, with over five million people visiting the region every year. The visits bring in around £450 million annually, and support 7,000 jobs. These figures are likely to increase thanks to the recent Destination Plan set out by the Herefordshire Sustainable Food and Tourism Partnership.
