Salford is home to MediaCityUK, which has become an important media hub, playing host to organisations across the creative and digital industries, including BBC North, ITV and the University of Salford. The site has recently launched plans for a £1 billion expansion, doubling its size over the next decade. The city will also benefit from 415,000 m2 of new office space being created by 2035, both in the city centre and Quays areas.

The city is expected to see strong growth in its population too. The population of 234,500 is estimated to increase by 6.5% over the next decade, providing an even larger workforce and potential customer base for local businesses.
