St Davids is the smallest city in the UK, and is a picturesque destination filled with retail boutiques and traditional cafes. The city, located in west Wales, is set to enjoy further growth in the near future thanks to the planned expansion at the Valero refinery. The development has a value of around £127 million, and will see a combined heat and power unit being created on site, delivering better efficiency as well as potentially offering cost savings on electricity. The project will support around 1000 jobs locally.

The wider area of Pembrokeshire is expected to enjoy good growth thanks to the largest investment package that south west Wales has had. The area is set to receive £241 million in a City Deal that will provide a range of business opportunities in a number of sectors. A total of £76 million will be used to create a marine energy hub in the region, providing the facilities to develop and test in the local naval docks.
Two other developments for the Pembrokeshire region will be making broadband facilities more modern and efficient, and encouraging the creation of businesses working across renewable energy in the region.
